about
I am an architect, urban planner, researcher, and consultant with a specialization in urban design and sustainability. I hold a PhD in Architecture and Design from the Università degli Studi di Genova, where I completed my thesis, OB PORTUS: The potential of nature to integrate the port and the city in the Americas, which was awarded cum laude. My work focuses on the integration of human and natural systems across scales, exploring innovative approaches to urban resilience and ecological design. I have held teaching and research positions at renowned institutions, including the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), FADU (Uruguay), and the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). As a member of the MIT Metro Lab network (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), I have contributed to cutting-edge research at the intersection of infrastructure and ecology. In my current role as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on the Smart Cities Uruguay project, I focus on the integration of technology and sustainability in urban planning. My professional experience spans Uruguay, Italy, and Argentina, where I have worked on architectural and urban design projects. I have collaborated with firms such as Due Barra Due and H&A Associati in Venice, contributing to architectural and urban projects in the unique context of the Venetian landscape. My research was published and presented at international conferences. I am the author of the book Landscape Urbanism Keys, as well as book chapters and academic articles. Currently, I combine interdisciplinary approaches and digital tools to tackle contemporary challenges in building resilient and sustainable cities. My work places particular emphasis on the critical interfaces between nature and infrastructure, seeking innovative strategies to address the complexities of these dynamic systems.
field of work
Each project is approached with a tailored architectural design, uniquely adapted to its context and environment. We strive to create innovative solutions by integrating the surrounding landscape, ecological processes, and the dynamic characteristics of the site. Our design philosophy emphasizes simplicity in form and materials, aiming to achieve a timeless beauty that resonates with its surroundings.
From initial analysis and conceptual planning to sustainable and innovative implementation strategies, we conduct thorough studies and analyses to understand the urban environment and propose forward-thinking, sustainable solutions. Our comprehensive advisory services for urban design projects prioritize environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and gender-sensitive approaches, guiding each project from concept to execution.
From initial concept to final delivery, we offer end-to-end project management services to ensure every detail is thoughtfully executed. Our approach integrates strategic planning, meticulous coordination of resources, and effective communication between all stakeholders. By tailoring management strategies to the unique requirements of each project, we prioritize timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality assurance. We also provide focused support for specific stages of the process, such as feasibility studies, permitting, and on-site supervision, ensuring that every phase meets the highest standards of excellence. Our commitment is to seamlessly bridge the gap between vision and realization, guaranteeing successful outcomes in every project we undertake.
